Honours of 'Jaldut'

Katkalamba a village in kandhar Tahasil of Nanded District was stricken with scarcity of water ,as ground water level decreased to large extent ,there was no water in cube well & well in the vicinity people would get the water only in the rainy season whereas in the remaining month potable water was not available .Contaminated water caused diseases among villagers . Villagers learnt the fame of Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal in Water conservation work & requested to implement Drought Mitigation
Programme .
SSM  adopted the village & brought about change through cleanliness campaign, Health awareness programme , skill Development, water conservation work .SSM along with Seva Vardhini  Pune did the collaborative work , keeping co ordination among 20 NGOs across Maharashtra and planned the project Jaldut in systematic way  the work of water conservation & watershed Development was carried out in selected villages , 40 Jaldut of 20 NGOs along with one trained villager for each village passionately did the work of water conservation and watershed Development ,the prpject was implemented during sept2015tojun2017 , 22 villages has been selected in between march2016to june 2017 for the project the work like CCT ,Deep CCT , New bunds , well construction, desilting of water resources , water supply through solar energy were carried out project received Rs 2.25 Cr. from CSR . 14 Experts in water conservation , 6 Expert in project Management participated in the project. ACWADM, SOPPECOM, GSDA alsi supported  the project, through the project Jaldut participatory Resume Maping Training held during march 9 to march 13 2016 , was inaugarated by District Collector.

                As Jaldut played vital role in bringing about the change in villages the Government acknowledged their work , felicited  Jaldut offering citation at Pune by Revenue Minister  Chandrakant Patil, Ram Shinde Minister for water conservation . SSM's Ganpat Gaikwad and Katkalamba's Ramdas Baswade awarded as 'Jaldut' .

Pramod Deshmukh awarded 'SevaDharmik Award' for bringing change in Rural community.

Jalnayak Pramod Deshmukh  felicited  by Lata Raja Foundation's Seva Dharmik Award,  on 8 october at Siddharth Auditorium Vijaywada .as Chairman Mr. pramod Deshmukh known for his wide ranging work in Education, Agriculture & sustainable rural development.

Board of Directors- Syngenta Foundation Visit ATA Training Centre, Sagroli

Board of Directors from Syngenta Foundation visited the various activities of KVK-Sagroli. They  were taken around Nursery, poly house, Fishery, Goat Farming,  Poultry Form, Sericulture, Milk Processing Unit, Hydroponics unit and other related activities run by Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal consistently bringing out socio economic development of rural community. The visitors  expressed great satisfaction over the work done at such a rural base. Mr. Bhaskar Reddy, Hyderabad, Mr. B.T. Sheshadri, Sr. Advisor, Mr. Ravindra Kumar Karate (Maharashtra Lead) held discussions with the staff of Agricultural Technical Assistanct (ATA) Training Centre.  Later, Mr. Bhaskar Reddy inaugurated organic Manure Production plant and Neem Pesticide production centre. Chairman-SSM Shri Pramod Deshmukh accompanied the visitors. 


Bhavini Jadhav Hits Success in Div. Level Roller Skating Competition :


Bhavini Jadhav (4th ), a student from Shivaji Jr. Basic School Studying secured First Place in roller Skating competition organized by District Sports Dept. under Youth and Sport Directorate, Maharashtra.

        Bhavini, despite a short notice, really worked hard to get selected for state Level competition to be held at Mumbai.

Shivaji Highschool continues to Celebrate more achievements in Sports:

        Students of Shivaji Highschool celebrated their victory  at Divisional level sport competition held at Babulgaon LAtur, organized by Directorate  of Sprot & Youth, students. Hanmant Shivaji Kadam (Running-1500 m), Komal Digambar Paddamwar (Walking-5 km) stood first and both of them secured Second place in  Cross country (5 km) second.  Students were appreciated all over








Skills Training in Tailoring and Garment Making Imparted by Utkarsh :

 A one month Training  on Garment making  & Tailoring was organized from 1st of August to 30th August  by Utkarsh Vocational Training Centre in association with the Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED). Around 30  women from deprived communities were selected and facilitated with required material for Training Camp.  Since the Women are the backbone of Society, Utkarsh always strive to strengthen women Socially & economically.  Mr. Shankar Pawar, MCED gave his  the guidance to the participants & expressed satisfaction over their eagerness to learn. Centre co-coordinator Santosh Ulgade took the initiative in organizing the programme.

SIDDHAPPA NALA PROVES TO BE BOON TO FARMERS

 



              Siddhappa Nala( Irrigation canal) is located between Siddhappa hillocks -Sagroli  and  Bolegaon ( 6 km). Inadequate  rain fall and indiscriminate use of water, rendered ground water levels fall below accessibility . Consequently, people had been facing the drought for the past  three years . Committed to Social responsibility the SSM explored every possibility to develop sustained water resources

                The canal was rejuvenated  by widening & deepening measures . Farmers contributed  physical labor to certain extent. Nala is 10 feet deep 20 feet wide and 6 kms long. Doha Model of reservoirs were structured to hold water in larger bulk.. Each Doha  is capable of storing 7500 liters of water. As a result, nearly 200to300 acres of agricultural land came under irrigation and 100 farmers got benefited  through venture.
